I have a secret that I want to share with someone special
You are a being of light, I want to be near you
You have a question for me now, "How can you keep a secret?"
"A gift was made to be given."
Oh, there is a secret
It's always on the tip of your tongue
All the wise men seek it
though it's written in our hearts since we were young
After all, we are children
we don't always see what's in front of us
Buddha laughed when I asked of him,
"I didn't hear you, could ya please repeat it?"
I climbed the mountain and I learned just what it means
to be enlightened. It's much easier than it seems
Lay down your burden - Lay it here at your feet
Lay down your burden - Your life is complete
We don't need much more than this
Oh the restless wonder - waiting for life to begin
A big wave come and washed me under
Should've spent that time learning how to swim
When our thoughts become actions
we open the door to experience
The Buddha laughed when I asked of her
"Should I carry this if I don't need it?"
I climbed the mountain and I learned just what it means
to be enlightened. It's much easier than it seems
Lay down your burden ...
We are young and who we are
No missing moments for promises.
Right now anything is possible
A pair of hands is nothing special - until they touch you
A clear blue sky is not like heaven - until the light shines through
A spoken word is soon forgotten - unless it rings true
And no poor soul can teach a lesson - until he learns a few
Lay down your burden ...
