Children Speak: Tsunami ~ Kids Drawing Project

These are the children who drew the images for Children Speak: Tsunami Exhibition at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library, Dec 18, 2006 – Feb 18, 2007.

This is a beautiful tribute to the strength of the human spirit and the hopeful resilience of children. They really can spring back if given support, love, and even just a little spark of hope. Kudos to Arlene Atherton, the thoughtful photojournalist who created this beautiful collection and brought it back for all of us who were horrified by the plight of our brothers and sisters overseas after the tsunami. And I’m honored that she chose, among others, my song, “Namaste'” to support the video and the exhibit.
