Glen Roethel and Judy Kass in Concert at Tarrytown Music Hall (livestream)

Public · Hosted by Tarrytown Music Hall and Judy Kass
Online with Facebook Live
Presented by The Tarrytown Music Hall on Facebook Live
We are happy to feature Judy Kass, performing for you LIVE here on Facebook for our weekly Night-In With The Music Hall. Tune in with some take-out from your favorite restaurant, and let the music bring us together while we are sheltering at home.
Judy Kass draws in her audience with soulful vocals and genre-bending exploration of guitar and piano. Her debut album, “Better Things” and her second CD, “Beyond the Ash and Steel” both appeared on the Folk DJ List of Top Albums. Judy’s 2017 single, “Look at Us Marching Now”, caught the attention of Christine Lavin, who created a music video of the song. A finalist in several songwriting competitions, Judy was recently named First Place Winner in the Singer/Songwriter category of the 21st Great American Song Contest. When not performing solo, Judy can also be heard in a variety of regional venues playing together with award winning artists Amy Soucy and Glen Roethel in their harmony driven trio “Us!” (ustriomusic.com). Their song “No More Crying” was recently selected for a Gold award in the Open category of the 36th Mid-Atlantic Song Contest.
Glen Roethel is a one-of-a-kind artist, gifted vocalist, and wonderfully musical acoustic guitarist. His rich baritone-tenor, effortless fretting, and vibrant personality light up stages solo, in an ensemble, and also as an accompanist. Hear him as one-third of Us!, the new acoustic trio singing new anthems of connectedness and unity (with Judy Kass and Amy Soucy). Glen is an award-winning songwriter and a real crowd-pleaser, having electrified juried showcases for Folk Alliance, S.M.A.F., Falcon Ridge Folk Fest, Cape May Singer-Songwriter Fest, Posi Music Fest, and more. Glen sings memoirs, anecdotes, tender love songs, and anthemic calls for unity and empowerment. He is a beloved national PosiMusic artist, a popular instructor at SummerSongs songwriter retreats (summersongs.com), a record producer, and a sing-along master. Experience his three self-produced CDs or one of many beautiful compilation discs and CDs by (and with) other fine artists including Sue Riley, Penny Nichols, Sloan Wainwright, Josh Joffen…featuring Glen’s songs and performances
