Sloan & Glen toasting you!

Traveling in a small luxury coach, we will visit three counties for three days and nights each. For these nine glorious days and nights, you’ll experience the best music and scenery, walking through the velvety green of Ireland’s rich land, culture, and history.

By day we visit ancient sites, stone circles, ring forts, fishing villages, beaches, heritage centers, and more. I may even have a guitar for an occasional song along the way. We return to our hotel each afternoon, freshen up, have dinner, and by night we share music with Irish songwriters, poets, and musicians at traditional “sessions” with fiddlers, penny whistlers, guitarists, box accordionists, tenor banjo players – all playing jigs, reels, and songs. At night we rest in small, quality hotels, with our heads still reeling from the day’s excitement.

Blue sheep?

Blue sheep!

The tours are very relaxed and flexible – “for people who really don’t like tours.” Guests come from all across the U.S. and Canada. Our maximum number of travelers, including the musical hosts, is twenty-four. This small size allows everyone to get to know each other — the hosts, the other guests, your guide and driver, and the many artist/musicians you will meet along the enchanted way.

2024 ITINERARY:

Our tours are small enough that they feel more like a group of friends traveling together in Ireland. We explore beautiful places during the day, some of the top tourist attractions in Dublin City, we include the beautiful Glendalough Valley in Co. Wicklow; walking tours of Waterford, Waterford Crystal, the ancient city of Kilkenny, and The Burren in County Clare. There are also visits to ancient sites such as castles and abbey ruins, a round tower, and possibly a stone circle or ring fort. Traditional music fills the evenings in the form of great sessions in some of the local pubs and private concerts from some of the best Irish musicians. Itineraries can vary depending on a number of factors, so these are just general guidelines. Detailed itineraries are provided a few weeks prior to each tour. Here are some other highlights you’ll enjoy:
  • Breathtaking scenery
  • Private music concerts from local musicians
  • Private concerts by Glen, Sloan, and Sue
  • Tradition and culture
  • Irish history and greater understanding shared by locals
  • Music and camaraderie

The tour is guided by a charming local expert and a skillful driver, and is musically co-hosted by yours truly (Glen Roethel), Sloan Wainwright, and Sue Riley. (Honestly, I don’t know who to credit for the most fun…maybe you?!)

Sloan, Glen, and Sue will sing for you too, in two intimate concerts and pop-ups in between 🙂

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  There is a minimum of 16 guests for the tour. Please do not book your flight until you have been notified that the tour has met that minimum.
