On Friday, October 10, 2014 I’ll be playing a few songs with David Roth at Garden Stage. One of those songs will be a new one that David and I wrote together in Arizona two weeks ago. I have played at Garden Stage many times – and oft have thought of it as a home-base – but it’s been a while, so I really look forward to a big reunion! Children Speak: Tsunami ~ Kids Drawing Project
These are the children who drew the images for Children Speak: Tsunami Exhibition at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library, Dec 18, 2006 – Feb 18, 2007.
This is a beautiful tribute to the strength of the human spirit and the hopeful resilience of children. They really can spring back if given support, love, and even just a little spark of hope. Kudos to Arlene Atherton, the thoughtful photojournalist who created this beautiful collection and brought it back for all of us who were horrified by the plight of our brothers and sisters overseas after the tsunami. And I’m honored that she chose, among others, my song, “Namaste'” to support the video and the exhibit.
